Biddy Jenkinson is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary poets. She has published eight collections, all with Coiscéim: Baisteadh gintlí (1987), Uiscí beatha (1988), Dán na huidhre (1991), Amhras neimhe (1997), Mis (2001), Oíche Bhealtaine (2005) Táinrith (2013) and Sceilg na Scál (2017). Rogha dánta, a selection from her earlier books, was edited by Siobhán Ní Fhoghlú and Seán Ó Tuama and published by Cork University Press in 1999. She is a co-translator of Louis de Paor's dual language selections The Brindled Cat and the Nightingale’s Tongue (Bloodaxe Books / Cló Iar-Chonnacht, 2014) and Crooked Love / Grá fiar (Bloodaxe Books / Cló Iar-Chonnacht, 2022). A selection of her poetry is included in Louis de Paor's dual language anthology Leabhar na hAthghabhála / Poems of Repossession (Bloodaxe Books / Cló Iar-Chonnacht, 2016).
