Serafina Vick graduated from King’s College London in 2015 with a First Class degree in French and Hispanic Studies. She started translating Cuban poetry in 2014 whilst studying in Havana. Her translations have been featured in Modern Poetry in Translation and Bogota 39, and on BBC Radio 4. She is the bridge translator of Legna Rodríguez Iglesias's Un cuerpecito son muchas partes / A little body are many parts, which was published by Bloodaxe Books and The Poetry Translation Centre in 2019 and was shortlisted for the inaugural Derek Walcott Prize for Poetry. The English translation by Abigail Parry and Serafina Vick was shortlisted for the Society of Authors' Premio Valle Inclán for Spanish Translation 2020. She lives in Havana, where she’s currently working on her first novel.
