Said Jama Hussein is a Somali scholar who is actively engaged in the promotion of the Somali language and literature. He is the author of Shufbeel, a collection of short stories which was published in 2010. He is co-translator with Clare Pollard and Maxamed Xasan 'Alto' of Asha Lul Mohamud Yusuf's The Sea Migrations (Somali title: Tahriib), published by Bloodaxe Books with The Poetry Translation Centre in 2017.
