Markéta Prachatická is an award-winning artist from the Czech Republic. She illustrated Andrew Fusek Peters's anthology Sheep Don't Go to School: Mad & Magical Children's Poetry from Eastern Europe (Bloodaxe Books, 1999). Her wild and beautifully drawn illustrations for Alice in Wonderland won her the prestigious Premio Grafico prize at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She has also illustrated books by authors such as Roger McGough and Roald Dahl (including the Czech edition of James and the Giant Peach).
