Sarah Maguire (1957-2017) was the founder and director of The Poetry Translation Centre in London. She published four highly acclaimed collections of poetry, including The Pomegranates of Kandahar (Chatto, 2007), which was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize. Her anthology My Voice: A Decade of Poems from the Poetry Translation Centre was co-published by Bloodaxe Books with the Poetry Translation Centre in 2014. Her selected poems, Almost the Equinox, was published by Chatto in 2015. She is co-translator with Mark Ford of Al-Saddiq Al-Raddi's A Monkey at the Window: Selected Poems (Bloodaxe Books/Poetry Translation Centre, 2016).
